Top Maps and Navigation Apps on Android in Austria Q4 2024

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the Austrian market for maps and navigation apps on Android demonstrated varied trends across the top five applications. Sensor Tower data provides valuable insights into these trends.

ÖBB Tickets saw its weekly downloads fluctuate between 3.4K and 4.4K throughout the quarter. Active users began at approximately 282K, dipped mid-quarter, and closed the year around 245K.

The ÖBB Scotty app had a slightly higher download rate initially, with numbers starting at 5.2K, then stabilizing around the 3.4K to 4.1K range. Active users for this app started strong at 367K, peaking at 381K before dropping to 269K by the end of December.

WienMobil displayed a consistent download pattern, with a noticeable spike to 4.7K in mid-November, before declining to 1.8K by year-end. Active users decreased from 249K to 198K over the quarter.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a steady download rate, reaching a peak of 2.6K in the final weeks. Active users saw growth from 52K to 62K mid-quarter, ending at 54K.

Lastly, Bolt: Request a Ride experienced a similar trend, with downloads rising to 2.5K by the end of December. Active users began at 33K, peaking mid-quarter and then declining to 25K.
